Mac app

Transloader for Mac, iPhone and iPad lets you start and manage downloads on your Macs, remotely from your iPhone, iPad, or other Macs.
Version 3.1.91 3.1.92 squashes a bunch of bugs and improves loading filenames.

Incredibly useful! […] It’s magic!

X.Alex.D; Mac App Store

What is Transloader?

With Transloader, you can start and manage downloads on your Macs, remotely, from your other devices, like an iPhone, iPad, or another Mac.

Link and File Actions let you change Transloader’s behavior, like open links from specific domains or url schemes in different apps, or open completed downloads for further processing with other apps, Automator actions or Shortcuts.

Login required? No problem. Transloader can sync login cookies or HTTP basic auth credentials via iCloud.

And with notifications, you’re always in the know about the status of your downloads.

Love this app! […] Simple, reliable, and exactly what I need.

Celatone; Mac App Store

Yoink for Mac drastically improves and simplifies drag and drop on the Mac.
Version 3.7.2 improves its Quick Look functionality, renaming files, and more.

What is Yoink?

Yoink is a temporary place for your file drags. Whether you want to collect images from a website, text snippets from a document, or move files around in Finder, Yoink offers a “shelf” you can place them in so you can move freely to the files’ actual destination. It can hold virtually anything you can drag and appears whenever you start to drag something. It’s also highly customizable to fit your needs. It also comes with a clipboard history, easily accessibly via widgets, or the “shelf” itself.

What’s New in Yoink v3.7.2?

  • The Quick Look panel can now be pinned so it stays visible when changing apps or Spaces
  • The sizing of the Quick Look panel has been improved
  • Renaming works again for app-content like images from websites, or text snippets
  • Fixes a bug where, after the Mac or display woke from sleep, Yoink would sometimes appear somewhere in the middle of the screen
  • Fixes a rare bug that could cause the app to hang

ScreenFloat for Mac v2.3.7 is now available, a maintenance update improving various areas of the app, and fixing a couple of bugs.

“The most used tool on my Mac”

wendylou @ Mac App Store

What is ScreenFloat?

ScreenFloat is your Mac’s Screen Capture Power Tool.
Capture screenshots and recordings that float above other windows, allowing you to reference anything on your screen, anywhere. It’s like Picture-in-Picture, only for screen captures.
It keeps your Desktop clutter-free, as every capture you make is stored in its Shots Browser, where you can manage, organize and find your shots. They’re also synced across your Macs over iCloud.
Easily copy the non-copyable, as ScreenFloat recognizes text, barcode and faces in your shots, which also allows you to effortlessly redact sensitive parts of your screenshots.
Add non-destructive annotations, redactions and markup, crop, “fold“, resize, or de-retinize your shots. Quickly pick colors.
Mute, trim and cut your recordings with the aid of “edit markers” you can place while recording.
Create shareable and embeddable links for your captures using iCloud, ImageKit.io or Cloudinary.com.
And so much more.

A screenshot is just a screenshot. Until you use ScreenFloat.

Tip: Check out the Get to Know ScreenFloat 2 Blog Post series for a deep-dive into its functionality and what it can do for you.

“A brilliant app”

Prof. Brian Whalley @ Mac App Store

What’s New in ScreenFloat v2.3.7

A new, fast way to copy floating shots: option-click the “File” button
  • A new, fast way to copy floating shots easily (or their text content)
This, of course, is in addition to the contextual menu, and the double-click actions available
  • When zooming in while cropping shots, the selection rectangle no longer zooms with the view
  • Streamlined copying shots; there’s no need anymore to explicitly copy the file, or the data
  • Fixes a bug where ScreenFloat wouldn’t remember ImageKit.io and Cloudinary credentials
  • and more!

flickery v1.9.51 – the full-featured flickr client for Mac – is now available and fixes a potential crash when downloading and uploading photos.
The app is now *free*, as I consider the app on “life support”, meaning that it’s horribly outdated (its first public beta was in May 2008 😱) and not going to receive substantial updates anymore (apart from the odd maintenance update here and there, like today’s).
The app is still fit for purpose and continues to provide a great way to browse and use flickr, but because flickr’s APIs have been at a standstill for a long time (even after being bought by SmugMug in 2018), I currently don’t see myself investing too much more time into the app.

The reason I updated it now is that I wanted to use it to download NASA’s images from the recent Artemis II mission, but couldn’t because the app crashed.

What is flickery?

flickery lets you manage your flickr photostream, albums, groups, galleries, favorites and contacts with the ease of use of macOS, and the comfort of drag and drop.

What’s New in flickery v1.9.51?

  • Fixes a crash that could occur trying to download photos
  • Fixes a crash that could occur during upload
